September 3, 2007 Aztech appoints VP Business Development

Aztech Associates Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Gardner S. McBride to the position of VP Business Development.

Effective September 1st 2007 Gardner joined the Aztech team to promote and advance Aztech’s line of products with particular emphasis on its line of Conservation and Demand Management equipment for the utilities industry.

Gardner’s experience prior to coming to Aztech includes sales, marketing and operations management in regulated and unregulated industries and on the non-profit and business enterprise sides.

He was National Sales Manager for Elliot Business Machines (a DYMO company) and in Senior Management at Interline Communications (a USWest company), responsible for the smart buildings initiative. His start-up and commercialization experience includes acting as a mentor to the President for a newly launched subsidiary of Illinois Bell where he successfully aided launching a spin-off riser cable management company in six months.

As a senior member of a telecommunications related venture he was in charge of all technology, developing new products for sale and opening new sites. The venture grew from USD$1M to USD$23M during his tenure.

On the non-profit side he was Executive Vice President (Chief Staff Officer) of The Building Owners and Managers Association International (BOMA) for a decade. Prior to BOMA he was the Interim Executive Vice President of the Pittsburg Chamber of Commerce.

Most recently after moving to Kingston, Ontario he worked with local company Magasec Inc. through the commercialization launch of its product line of remote monitoring devices for hazardous materials.

He is a graduate of Drew University in Madison, New Jersey and has a second residence in the US near Annapolis, Maryland where he can be found sailing the Chesapeake Bay as time permits.
